Mia Merritt is an Associate Attorney at Kased Law Group, where she represents employees in a wide range of employment matters, including wage and hour, discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and breach of contract claims. Mia brings more than five years of hands-on experience with the firm, having joined Kased Law Group as a legal assistant in 2020, and later as a law clerk in 2022, developing deep familiarity with the firm’s clients, case strategy, and litigation processes.

Mia earned her Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law, graduating magna cum laude and ranking in the top 10% of her class. During law school, she served as a Teaching Fellow, where she enjoyed providing individualized academic support to students. Mia also received multiple Academic Excellence Awards and Merit Scholarships in recognition of her outstanding performance.

Throughout her time at Kased Law Group, Mia has managed case progression across hundreds of active matters. Her experience has given her a strong foundation in both litigation strategy and client communication. She values developing strong relationships with clients, and is committed to building meaningful, trust-based relationships with the individuals she represents. She believes that effective advocacy begins with truly understanding each client’s experience and goals.

Mia is originally from Colorado and moved to San Diego to escape the snow. She remains an avid Denver sports fan and proudly supports the Broncos and the Nuggets. Outside of the office, she enjoys exploring San Diego, spending time with friends and family, and staying active.
